Abbie: Welcome to your daily bread with co hosts, Abbie Stasior and Hannah Calhoun. We're here to be your weekly source of spiritual nourishment, guiding you to find food freedom in a deeper connection with Christ.
Hannah: As we explore the intersection of faith and nutrition, these bite sized episodes will help you heal your relationship with food and your body through practical advice, biblical wisdom, and heartfelt encouragement.
Abbie: And as a disclaimer, we are not pastors, but passionate registered dietitians and sisters in Christ, offering our insights to support you on this faith filled journey to a healthier, more fulfilling life. Join us by taking a seat at our table as we break bread and allow God in to break the chains of diet culture.
Hannah: So today we're going to do something a little different. We would like to pray for you and you can use this episode as a prayer or meditation and we just hope that you as you listen to this are in the position to really feel the words and receive them and pray over yourself, uh, along with us today.
Abbie: God, we lift up this listener to you. We thank you because they are fearfully and wonderfully made. They are more precious than jewels.
Hannah: Thank you that you see them, you know them, and you deeply, deeply love them.
We praise you because you know every single hair on their head, and you see each tear that falls from their eyes.
Abbie: God, you know what is burdening them right now. We ask that you fill their heart with your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding.
Hannah: We pray that they will remember what your word says in Matthew 6, 25 34 that commands us not to worry about our life, what we will eat, drink, or about our bodies and what we will wear.
Abbie: Help them to trust that you, Heavenly Father, know exactly what they need, and all of their needs will be met when they seek your kingdom first.
Hannah: Father, you know the struggles that this listener has with their relationship with food. body image and exercise. We pray that you will heal this relationship so that they can feel peace with the body that you created for them, peace with the food that you have provided for them, and peace with the exercise that they are privileged to participate in.
Abbie: Remind them God that they bear your image and that their body houses the Holy Spirit and that they are precious in your sight. We lay all of their health concerns at your feet, God. Help them to trust that you are the great physician and healer and that you command us to lay our worries at your feet.
Hannah: Give them supernatural wisdom to trust in the promise that you will heal us in heaven if not here on earth.
Give them peace and understanding to know that these earthly bodies are temporary, and you promise to make us new.
Abbie: Help them to focus on spiritual nourishment above all, and give them the strength to continue to set their eyes on things above, not on earthly things.
Hannah: In Jesus name, Amen.
